My lipstick collection + How I care for my lips

November 10, 2014

Before we start, here's a little fun fact: An average woman eats about 2-3 kilos of lipstick in her lifetime. That is...actually a lot.

So many of you wants to see what are the lip products I have in my vanity right now and here it is! I will divide this post into 3 parts - the lip products, my favourite lippies (with swatches on my lips) and how do I care for my lips. Hope you girls like it!

Lip Products collection

These aren't even all. Some were in my makeup bag and I was just too lazy to take them out.

I love matte lipsticks so that explains why I don't have that many lip glosses. I was born with full lips, so glosses emphasise it,  I look silly with it. :( But sometimes I do put on a little bit on the centre of my lips for special occasions. A little shimmer won't hurt.

My favourite lipsticks

Sephora Cream Lipstain in 06 Forever Fuschia

Sephora Cream Lipstain in 01 Always Red

NYX Matte Lipstick in Euro Trash

Revlon Matte Lip Balm in Shameless

As you can see, I'm all about pinks and purples. I used to wear red lips everyday but then I discovered how bright pinks look good with my tanned skin tone. I like dark lips but I have yet to find a perfect shade for me. Hit me up if you girls have any suggestions!

How I care for my lips

My lips get really dry quite easily and I had a bad habit of peeling it off. But ever since I started wearing lipstick often, I try as much as possible to peel off my lips and eventually I stopped. So that's the first tip.

Secondly, I use a balm before I put on any lip products so it won't get dry when I'm outside. And if it does get dry, I reapply my lip balm. DON'T lick your lips! It will dry up your skin more because once you lick, the air will absorb your saliva as well as the natural moisture on your lips. So nope, no good.

Thirdly, every night before I go to sleep, I will brush my teeth then my lips to get rid of the dry and peeling skin. Over time, I see a great improvement and it helped me deal with my bad habit to peel off the extra skin on my lips.

Lastly, please remember to hydrate yourself. It gets dry easily because you don't drink water often!

That's it. If you have any questions, just leave a comment or email me. Till the next post! xx
