Nursing & Maternity

April 01, 2017

I have been missing for so long but it feels like a really good short break, to be honest. What I've been busy with? Well....making a baby. I think so many of you already knew I am now 5 months pregnant and it has been an interesting but smooth journey, Alhamdulillah.

If you're wondering, yes, we already know the gender of the baby! But our lips are sealed at the moment. We'll announce later when I'm in my third trimester. I'm excited and we're gonna start shopping.

Anyway, I have been researching a lot about nursing and maternity clothes because you know, just preparing. I am planning to breastfeed for as long as I can, so I need to wear something convenient when I am outside.

Found Epal Dan Pir recently and found out that the owner, Nisa, was Zul's teacher in secondary school! Anyway, they recently launched their Raya 2017 collection which is filled with nursing-friendly dresses and kebayas. They also have a few casual apparels perfect for work and daily wear!

The first top I would like to introduce is the Lyla Nursing Top. This looks like a normal top but underneath that "cape" there is a slot for me to open up to ease the breastfeeding process. Honestly, depending on how comfortable you are, you don't really need a nursing cover if you wear this.

Next off is of course, their Raya collection! I was quite excited to wear this out because I have never seen a kebaya that allows us to breastfeed.

This is Kebaya CikTi, yes the name is missing just a Q to make it really mine but still a cute name! I wore this to a wedding and I have to say, super comfortable. I showed my mum how I can use it for breastfeeding next time and she was amazed. She said this should have existed when she was breastfeeding us. Ah well, too bad Ibu.

This top is also perfect for maternity because it doesn't suffocate your boobs. When you're expecting, you will definitely wonder why does your boobs unrecognisable most of the time. It's like they magically changed overnight.

My next favourite is LoAnn dress. Just a note that if you're planning to hide that bump, this is not the dress. As you can see, it's peeking right through the fabric. No denying I am preggers here. This is the dress you wear if you think you need a seat in the MRT! Take notes, ladies.

It flows just nice and I knew it was a good idea to wear this to Gardens By The Bay. It matches the flowers well! I think I will have trouble fitting into this for the next few months though, since I foresee my bump growing even bigger.

I honestly can't wait to see the next collections they will be releasing in the future. Don't forget to follow them on Instagram and check out their website:

The next entry will probably be in a few months. Till then, please pray this exciting pregnancy journey will be a smooth one for me, insyaAllah!

  1. These are actually wonderful some ideas in the blog. You have touched good quality points here. In whatever way continue writing.

  2. With the amount of patients entering hospitals on the rise and nursing on the decline, the overall quality of health care to each individual is rapidly becoming a concern. It is well known in the medical community that the nurse/patience ratio is directly related to patient moral . writing

  3. Like different orders development, nursing has created different hypotheses that fit the distinctions and philosophical convictions or ideal models of the world.

  5. Just as medical diagnoses help in the planning, implementation and evaluation of health care, nursing diagnoses help in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. cna school consultants
